Learn these tips to sell your product and/or services and make a sale.

Step 1: Prepare Before Hand

This is the first step that is done before contact with potential new members. It is when staff prepare themselves with information and knowledge before approaching members.

Step 2: Approach

This is the first contact you make with customers. It is not yet know if they are a potential client. Establish your credibility and trustworthiness from the moment you greet the customer.

Step 3: Fact-Finding

In this step, you discover the customers need, wants, desires and perspectives. Spend time with them until you know enough about their interests to start your presentation.

Step 4: Present Solutions

You’ve develop a rapport with them, now is the time to present your product and/or service to them. Make sure you offer them solution your potential client solutions that can help them fulfill their needs and wants.

Step 5: Handling Objective

One of the most common issues with closing a sale is handling objectives. Most people will not buy a product or service without asking some questions about possible concerns to the salesperson. You need to welcome any objectives that comes your way. Take it as an opportunity to clarify your explanation of your products or service.

Step 6: Close the Deal

Ask for the sale. Your closing words to your prospects should be powerful and show them again that you are providing them a solution to their problem.

Also, don’t ask leading questions to close the sale. You run the risk of customers saying no to you and you’ll end back at step 5. Make statements instead so you don’t give your prospects a chance to say no and back out last minute.

Step 7: Follow-Up

Remember, you’re building a relationship with them. Whether you close the deal or not, follow up with them by providing your contact information. This show customers that you care about them and you want to maintain that relationship in the future.

Bonus Tip: Offer them a tour. If your business is offering them a service, like a gym membership, giving them a tour is a great way to handle any objections that you might come across. Talk to them, get them use to the setting and make them feel comfortable so you can turn them into a client.
