Why Experimental Marketing can help you Drive Sales
Experiential Marketing is the process of identifying and satisfying customer needs and aspirations profitably, engaging them through two-communications that bring the brands personalities to life and add value to the target audience. Providing an experience for your customers can not only help you increase sales but also increase brand awareness and more engagement to your customers and clients.
There use to be a time where marketers would just promote their companies products and service through traditional advertisement but times have now changed. One of those changes is now who are the majority of buyers. We are now living in a world where Millennials and Gen-Z people are now buying more products and services than the baby boomers. Due to this, marketers now have to change the way they market their business to customers. For businesses to attract Millennials and Gen-Z people, they must provide an experience for them instead of just marketing products and service to them. Research has showed that the younger generation is more likely to invest their time and money in a company if they can provide them an experience. Millennial and Gen-Z would rather pay to enjoy themselves than walk away with merchandise.
When it comes to marketing, delivering experience matters. Brands that can engage and delight consumers are more likely to be top of mind, create positive brand associations, and gain priceless consumer insights. If you want to throw memorable activation’s, provide your customers with a unique brand experience.
Here is an example of an experiential marketing campaign that took place in Australia in July 26, 2017. Coca-Cola wanted to promote their new healthier soft drinks to people so they launch their campaign by setting up a voice-activation screen where people walking by saw the display. All they had to do was say yes and the voice activation software will dispense the new sugar free Coke drink to people for free. Their campaign was called Say Yes to Coke.
